You can delete your StatementOrganizer account and everything in it. This page explains how, and exactly what gets removed.
In the app (fastest):
If you cannot sign in: email statementorganizer.app@gmail.com from the address on the account. We will verify it is you and delete the account for you.
From the same Settings → Privacy screen you can Export my data and download everything we hold about you. Do this first if you want to keep a copy — once deletion completes, we cannot recover anything.
Deletion is not instant. We schedule it and hold the account for a short grace period (currently 7 days) so an accidental or malicious request can be undone. During that time you can sign in and select Cancel deletion. After the grace period the deletion runs automatically and cannot be reversed.
Permanently removed:
A small amount of data survives deletion because we are legally required to keep it, or because it no longer identifies you:
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Invoices and payment records | Tax and accounting law | As required by law, typically 7 years |
| Anonymous, aggregated usage counts | Cannot be linked back to you | Indefinitely |
| Security and audit logs | Fraud and abuse investigation | Per our retention policy |
| Prompts you chose to publish to the Community | Shared content; author link is removed | Until removed by you or a moderator |
Encrypted database backups are kept on a rolling schedule and age out automatically. Your data is not restored from them except in a disaster.
You do not have to delete the whole account. From inside the app you can delete individual statements, transactions, chats and reports at any time.
