How to Add or Merge Accounts in My Accounts

StatementOrganizer Team · July 5, 2026

Once you've uploaded a few statements, StatementOrganizer automatically detects the bank accounts and cards mentioned in them and lists them under Accounts.

Sometimes the same account shows up more than once — maybe your bank abbreviated the account number differently on two statements. That's where merging comes in handy.

To view your accounts:

  1. Go to statementorganizer.com and open Accounts from the menu.
  2. You'll see every account and card detected from your uploaded statements, with masked numbers for privacy.

To merge duplicate accounts:

  1. Select two or more accounts you believe are the same (checkboxes appear when you have multiple accounts).
  2. Click Merge, and StatementOrganizer will combine their transaction history into a single, clean account record.
  3. Give the merged account a friendly label if you like, such as "Everyday Checking" or "Travel Card."

Merging accounts means your spending reports, charts, and insights reflect the true picture — no more double-counted balances or split histories.

You can also rename any account with a custom label, making it easier to recognize at a glance across Transactions, Charts, and Reports.

Keeping your accounts clean takes just a minute and pays off every time you check your spending trends or generate a report. Visit your Accounts page today to tidy things up.
