How to Create Your Own Prompt for Analysis in the Prompt Library

StatementOrganizer Team · July 5, 2026

Want a specific kind of analysis on your statements — something beyond the built-in reports? StatementOrganizer's Prompt Library lets you write your own reusable AI prompts.

How to create a prompt:

  1. Go to Reports from the menu at statementorganizer.com, then open the Prompt Library tab.
  2. Click to create a new prompt and describe what you want in plain English — for example, "List all transactions that look like subscriptions and estimate their yearly cost."
  3. Give your prompt a clear name so you can find it again easily.
  4. Save it — it's now part of your personal library, ready to run anytime.

To run a saved prompt:

  1. Go to Reports and start a New Job.
  2. Pick your saved prompt from the library instead of typing it fresh each time.
  3. Choose the statements or category to analyze, and run the job.

Custom prompts are especially handy for recurring checks — like a monthly review of a specific expense type, or a yearly summary in your own preferred format. Once written, you never have to re-type it.

If you come up with a prompt that works really well, you can also share it to the Community library so other users can benefit from your idea, and rate prompts that others have shared.
