How to Forward Bank Statements to StatementOrganizer from Any Email App (Manual Method)

StatementOrganizer Team · July 26, 2026

Not every email app supports automatic forwarding rules — but every single one lets you forward an email by hand. This universal method works with any email client, on any phone, tablet or computer.

The email address to forward to

Send your statements to:

upload@statementorganizer.com

Everything you forward there gets processed into your account automatically.

One important tip: add your email address in your settings

StatementOrganizer needs to recognise the address your statements come from. When you forward an email, it arrives from your address — so register it:

  1. Log in to StatementOrganizer.com.
  2. Go to your user settings.
  3. Find alternative email addresses (approved or additional emails).
  4. Add each address you'll forward from, and save.

If you forward from more than one account — a personal and a work email, say — add all of them here.

How to forward a statement (any app)

The wording differs slightly between apps, but the steps are always the same:

  1. Open the statement email from your bank.
  2. Find and tap or click Forward — usually a bent arrow, or hidden inside a or menu.
  3. Check the attachment is included. Your statement is the attached file, so make sure it's still there. Some apps ask whether to include attachments — say yes. If it's missing, attach the statement file manually.
  4. In the To box, type upload@statementorganizer.com.
  5. Tap or click Send.

That's the whole process. Give it a few minutes and the statement will appear in your account.

Optional: sort your statement into a category as you send it

You can file the statement into a category as you forward it — just use the subject line.

Whatever you type as the subject is matched against the categories you've set up. If it matches one exactly, the statement is filed there automatically.

  1. When forwarding, clear the subject line.
  2. Type the category name exactly as it appears in your StatementOrganizer settings — e.g. Personal Savings or Business Current.
  3. Keep the attachment on the email, then Send.

If the name doesn't match exactly, don't worry — the statement still uploads fine; it just won't be pre-sorted.

Want to skip forwarding each one by hand?

Many email apps can forward statements automatically once you set up a rule or filter. We have step-by-step guides for Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, Yahoo, iCloud, Proton Mail and Thunderbird — find the one that matches your email app.

A quick check

Forward a past statement to upload@statementorganizer.com and confirm it appears in your account. If it doesn't, the usual cause is the sender address not being registered in your settings.

This guide describes the universal manual forwarding method, which works with any email client. When forwarding, always confirm the statement attachment is included before sending.
