How to Forward Bank Statements to StatementOrganizer from the Gmail App (Android)
StatementOrganizer Team · July 26, 2026

Avoid the manual uploads — you can forward email statements from your bank to StatementOrganizer.com from your Android phone. Here's how.
Before you start
The email address where you can forward your statements to is:
Everything you forward there gets processed into your account automatically.
One important tip: add your email address in your settings
A forwarded email arrives from your Gmail address, so register it:
- Log in to StatementOrganizer.com (your phone browser is fine).
- Go to your user settings.
- Find alternative email addresses.
- Add each address you'll forward from, and save.
The easy way: set the filter once, on the web
The Gmail Android app can't create forwarding filters by itself — but filters made on the web apply to your whole Gmail account, phone included.
So do the one-time setup in a browser:
- Open Gmail on any computer or in your phone's browser (request the desktop site if needed).
- Follow our Gmail (web) guide: verify upload@statementorganizer.com as a forwarding address, then create a filter for your bank's address, the word statement in the subject, and an attachment.
- Save.
That filter now runs on Google's servers, so your statements forward automatically — including when mail arrives on your Android phone.
Forwarding a statement by hand from the app
- Open the statement email in the Gmail app.
- Tap the ⋮ menu on the message (or the forward arrow) and choose Forward.
- In To, type upload@statementorganizer.com.
- Make sure the attachment is included, then tap Send.
Optional: sort your statement into a category as you send it
When forwarding by hand, use the subject line to file the statement into a category.
The subject is matched against your set-up categories; an exact match files it there.
- When forwarding, clear the subject line.
- Type the category name exactly as it appears in your settings — e.g. Personal Savings.
- Keep the attachment, then tap Send.
A quick check
Forward a past statement from the app to upload@statementorganizer.com and confirm it appears in your account. If it doesn't, the usual cause is the sender address not being registered in your settings.
This guide reflects the Gmail Android app at the time of writing; app menus change with updates. Automatic filters are created on the web and apply account-wide. Google Workspace accounts may have forwarding disabled by an administrator.
